Shine Sun Shine
You and me
Letting the world just drift away
On a bright Sunday afternoon
Taking our time
Letting it go just for a day
Let's get away and then just hang loose
Gentle breezes blow and music in the air
Got some friends along for the ride
Nothing left to do for weekend millionaires
But shots of tequila and slices of lime
Cause I can feel it coming on
Shine Sun Shine
So if you’re ready come along
Shine Sun Shine
And turn the clouds into blue
Oooohhh
And the sun's gonna shine on me and you
Me and you
So raise your glass
To this moment and many more
in our paradise under the shade
If we know we don't want
Anything we ain't got
You might say that we got it made
You got some to share why don't you pass it around
We're living it up here with the sun shining down
Cause I can feel it coming on
And if you feel it sing along

Stranger

Stranger
My memories are of a stranger
Someone who is no longer me
A pawn of an unforeseen arranger
My boat is adrift upon the sea
I know that phase is just a rhythm
The in-between lines I sing alone
But I'm feeling underestimated
The longer that I remain unknown
Spare me the answer man
In spite of the best laid plans
The everything I was going to be
Living suspense is so demanding
With no one behind to watch the gate
Becoming aware of shallow breathing
Begging the blood to circulate
I'm taking in too much information
I am distracted all the time
I say to you now what I've been feeling
Instead of the reason or the rhyme
Spare me the answer man
In spite of the best laid plans
The everything I was going to be
This is an all night stand
The inescapable one man band
The everything I was going to be

Emptiness Is Forever

Emptiness Is Forever
Was dreaming I was back inside your old house
Where the music played us through till dawn
And I saw the once familiar faces
And I felt again like I belonged
What I didn't know then
I will never know for sure
It’s like I never went outside the front door
What I didn’t know then
I will never know for sure
And you're gone
Emptiness is forever
And it’s a shame
You didn’t last that long
Everyone who knew you was for better
Everyone who knew you had a friend
Everyone you held you held together
Until our pieces scattered to the winds
And I never have again what I had there before
And what I didn’t know then
I will never know for sure
And you're gone
Emptiness is forever
And it’s a shame
You didn’t last that long
I maybe could have changed the final chapter
If I would have just picked up that night
I maybe could have saved your voice your laughter
I maybe could have saved your wasted life
And what we didn’t know then
We’ll never know for sure
And you're gone
Emptiness is forever
And it’s a shame
You didn’t last that long

Make Time

Make Time
When I woke up this morning
I started racing with the clock
My head was in the red line
Before my feet were off the block
Sometimes I feel I hold so tight
My life is slipping through my hands
I gotta get myself disconnected
And if I got no time I make time
For anything worth living for
I don't get more time I make time
There's no more empty spaces
But would you change it if you could?
We got too much information
And everything misunderstood
It's all for one and one for all
When only one is what you got
And when you’ve got no more distractions
You are free
And if you got no time you make time
For anything worth living for
You don't get more time you make time
When we're dancing in the dark
Letting go of the second hand
That’s when the inspiration starts
Like a spark
Well it's about that time to make time
And if I got no time I make time
For anything worth living for
I don't get more time I make time
And if I got no time I make time
And if I got no time I make time
And if I got no time I make time
(Taking less making more
What you there making the time for?)

Icarus (For the Falling Man)
It's not looking good lord I think this is it
Got that sick sinking feeling when the last something hit
And through all the smoke around me I hear
Terrified people screaming in fear
All circuits went dead as I tried my last call
So I begged god to tell her I love her that's all
Now up on this ledge I gasp for my breath
This high up there's no rescue just waiting for death
The windows on the world weep with debris
Two symbols of freedom burn in effigy
In this panic a peace as I stare down below
Like an angel of mercy I suddenly know
Every question, every action my life was about
My choice is now choosing how will I go out
And how would you judge me who are not in my place
As a leap to my death or a last leap of faith?
With the flames rushing toward me staring death in the eye
I make my final decision not to burn, but to fly
